Welcome to the Jungle

The red needle indicates the current temperature in my living room. Outdoor temperature? 60 degrees, otherwise known as too warm to have the heat on.

I hate heat. I mean, I'm grateful for it, but--- I know ours is going to quit at a very integral time of the winter. We're just trying to make it through.

Our register is all messed up. It says 60 when I know it's hotter, but I have to crank it up to about 85 to get it to go on when it's too cold. I don't get it yet. I suppose by February I will. If it's still working.

Good luck with yours.

Laura,
I'm Amber's mom and used to work at Honeywell. Sounds like a thermostat problem to me. The thermostat is just a switch for the heating system and it sounds screwed up. I hope you rent, because then it's their expense
(if they get around to it)

I just now saw your comment, Lucy. Thank you! That was very thoughtful. Yeah--I kind of wish we rented (especially when problems arise :), but no. So right now, as long as there's heat coming out of the vents, I'm happy. We spent so much time and money on this house over the summer, I just can't handle anything else right now. But maybe soon. Thank you for the advice :)
