I think ours totaled out at somewhere around $3000. I think we could have gone cheaper. For instance eliminating some of the silliness at the reception. Neither of us are dancers, why did we think a dance was necessary? I mean, I liked the band, but almost everyone left anyways. We did save a lot doing our own food, having a family member do the photography and a friend make the dresses. I guess if I could do it all over again, I would skip the whole thing and take a $3000 trip together to Italy. Good luck though, when is it?

Peder-
I guess ours isn't frugal relative to yours, though we are cutting some of the same corners. It'll be next year, September 26.
I love the title of this post.
Good luck.
Skip the wedding, just do a fantastic reception:)
