At least once when I was a kid, my stepdad offered me dating advice for future reference: always order the lobster. But I'm pretty sure he didn't mean for me to decide, a few blocks from home, that my forgotten sunblock was not worth going back for, and then spend three hours on a boat in the middle of the day.
My arms look like they just might be tasty dipped in garlic butter.

Lots of aloe lotion!
/comfort
I've been slathering on the aloe, but mostly because I was hoping to avoid peeling. The lotion wasn't helping a whole lot with the pain...in fact, at work on the first day I was burned, my shoulders hurt so badly (despite the aloe) wherever my shirt touched them, I was lightheaded. And alas, I didn't avert the peeling. My right shoulder is covered with hundreds of tiny blisters.
My fault. I knew better.
