Problem:

When I get in front of a class, at least one bra strap immediately slides off my shoulder. This is the only time that I have this problem, and the only time when I'm unable to deal with it. Because, as far as I know, fixing a bra strap in front of 26 people is about as gauche as fixing a wedgie would be. Damn you, physics!

I try to fix mine before class starts if it's a bra that tends to slide. But as terrible as it is, I think I've fixed a bra strap while teaching. It's better than allowing it to be stared at for fifty minutes.

Yes, it does make me feel better...because last semester I had to make a conscious decision to STOP fixing my strap in class. Now I try to push the straps as close to my neck as they can get without showing before I go to class. Alas, sometimes my best efforts aren't good enough.

i had a friend who used to hitch the backs of her bra straps together with a shoelace so they wouldn't fall down. myself, i've always been a public hitcher. i figure everyone knows i'm wearing one...

I thought about using some clear packing tape to attach the straps to my shoulders, but that sounded like a really uncomfortable solution to a somewhat uncomfortable problem. Actually, since writing this post, I haven't had bra issues in class. Maybe I just needed to call the law of gravity on it, although I never would have guessed that it would respond so obligingly to criticism. Or at all, for that matter.

Isn't it simply a solution to just wear long sleeved clothing?

fixing a bra strap tho best way is to do it slowly and calmly rather then yanking it up fast trying to be discreet since people would notice anyway so take your time and get it fixed properly and high up on your shoulder. If you walking into class with your bra straps near the edge of your shoulders then they will slide off much quicker.
