Brandy on the rocks in moderation = work done. Except that so far, it hasn't worked.

ok--you've talked me into breaking open a bottle of wine. brandy on the rocks sounds very writerly though. i'm tellin' ya, you should watch that bukowski film. he liked to drink and write before he went to work at the post office. hey--maybe a job at the post office would help.

I actually added the Bukowski film to our Blockbuster Online queue this morning after reading your post. I really like Bukowski's poetry. It's unpretentious and so real. Maybe I shouldn've written a comp on him instead of the Romantics. For some reason, I can't bring myself to care about Shelley and Keats today. The brandy is supposed to make me not care that I don't care, but I think I need another one.

bukowski is a sick, womanizing, abusive bastard. but, for some reason, i can't help but like him anyway.

So this is where you got the idea for the wine, Jessie! I should have known.
